Passkeys, kept with the rest of your logins
A passkey replaces a password with a key pair, so there is nothing to phish or reuse. KeyCare Pass stores your passkeys in your encrypted vault.
shop.example.com wants to create a passkey.
The website keeps a public key. Your vault keeps the private key. Nobody can type it into a fake page.
How KeyCare Pass handles passkeys
Save when a site asks
When a website offers a passkey, the extension asks where to save it: a login you already have, or a new one.
Use it everywhere you sign in
Your passkeys are in your vault, so they work in every browser where you use the KeyCare Pass extension.
Sign in to KeyCare Pass with one
Log in to the web vault with a passkey instead of your email and master password, and unlock the vault with it where your browser supports that.
How it works
Your choice
Prefer your phone or a security key?
When the KeyCare Pass prompt appears you can choose your device or a hardware key instead, or switch passkey saving off in the extension's settings.

Frequently asked questions
Are passkeys included in exports?
Yes, in .json exports. The .csv format cannot hold them.
Can a login hold more than one passkey?
Each login holds one passkey. Save a second passkey for the same site as a new login.
Does a passkey made for KeyCare Pass work on our own server?
No. A passkey works only on the server it was created for, so one made for vault.keycarepass.com does not work on your organization's own KeyCare Pass server.
